REFUND POLICY

This Refund & Credit Policy explains how refunds and credits are handled for outplacement services purchased through TopStack HR, a brand of SJM Ventures LLC.

​

This policy applies to all purchases made through topstackhr.com and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

​

1. General Policy

Outplacement services are delivered through time-bound, activation-based programs. As a result, credits—not refunds—are the standard form of remediation for unused services.

​

Refunds, if issued, are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion and are not guaranteed.

​

2. Activation Codes & Service Start

  • Each purchased program includes an activation code.

  • Activation codes are valid for six (6) months from the date they are issued unless otherwise specified.

  • Once an activation code is redeemed, the associated services are considered in progress.

​

Services are non-refundable once an activation code has been redeemed.

​

3. Unused Activation Codes

If an activation code is not redeemed within the six-month validity period:

  • The activation code expires.

  • A credit equal to the value of the unused program may be issued.

  • Credits may be applied toward future purchases of outplacement services.

​

4. Credit Terms

  • Credits are valid for two (2) years from the date the credit is issued.

  • The credit issuance date is tied to the expiration of the activation code, not the original purchase date.

  • Credits are non-transferable and may only be used by the original purchasing organization.

​

5. Refunds

Refunds are not part of our standard policy.

​

However, refunds may be considered under limited circumstances, such as:

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges

  • Exceptional administrative errors

​

Any refund decision is made at the sole discretion of SJM Ventures LLC.

​

6. Payment Methods

Payments may be made by:

  • Credit card

  • ACH transfer

  • Wire transfer

  • Check

​

Refunds, if approved, will be issued using the original payment method where possible.

​
